Mapledurham is a 12th Century house, with a working traditional water mill for flour, a modern hydroelectric Archimedes screw turbine, and a historic church, on the banks of the River Thames. Refreshments can be bought from the Tea Room which has seating outside, or you can bring a picnic.

The location has attracted many film and television productions including The Eagle has Landed, Miss Marple, Midsomer Murders, Sharpe and The Big Allotment challenge.
